It has been one week since Marvel’s Black Panther premiered, and people are still flocking to the cinema in droves, dressed accordingly. A modicum of creativity has been put into the themed outfits as well as the makeup and hair looks. Dark lips, tribal face paint, beaded head adornments, glorious Afros, and an array of braid/cornrow hairstyles have all stood out in their own Afrocentric right.
Here are 10 of the best (including accessories):

Natural hair and Afrocentric hairstyles are having a moment – this is clear from the style galleries of major events such as Rocking the Daisies, AfroPunk Joburg, the GH Mumm Sun Met – and now Black Panther. Plus the ‘no-make-up make-up’ trend is fast-replacing master contouring. Making a statement with a bold lip colour has become all the beauty ammunition you need. This is why the hair and make-up looks spotted at Black Panther premieres across the country have been a real treat to scroll through on our social media feeds.
Keep those beauty looks coming, ladies. We’re enjoying every post.
