The discussion and comparisons of natural haircare routines circulated the web with everyone giving their simple and effective product tips.  Here are a few easy-to-make “natural” product recipes which you can quickly whip up at home comfortably knowing that your hair products are as natural and free of chemicals as your gorgeous tresses.

Homemade Conditioners

1.For Manageability – easier blow-outs and stretched styles

Ingredients:

1 large overripe banana (sliced)

4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

2 tbsp pure vegetable glycerine

2 tbsp pure honey

Instructions:

Blend all the ingredients thoroughly so no lumps or banana bits remain

Apply to clean hair and let the conditioner sit under a shower cap for 30 – 45 minutes

Detangle and rinse hair thoroughly

Style as usual

2.For Strengthening – ideal for natural hair which isn’t a fan of protein conditioners but needs moisture and a bit of strengthening

Ingredients:

4 tbsp extra virgin cocnut oil

2 tbsp pure honey

(double the servings if you have long or dense hair)

Instructions:

Place coconut oil and honey in a small cup and place cup into a large bowl of hot water

Allow the cup to sit in the water for a few minutes until mixture is warm

Pour mixture onto clean towel dry hair and let it sit under a shower cap for 20 minutes

Rinse out 80-90% of the conditioner

3. For Detangling – ideal for dense, think hair that experiences major shrinkage

Ingredients:

1 overripe avocado (sliced)

¼ cup extra virgin olive oil

½ cup unrefined shea butter

2 – 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions:

Blend all the ingredients thoroughly, adding more extra virgin olive oil if needed, until you reach your desired consistency

Apply to clean hair and let sit under a shower cap for 30 – 45 minutes

Detangle and rinse hair thoroughly

Style as usual

4.For Dandruff – ideal for dry hair and scalp

Ingredients:

3 tbsp cooking oil

1 tbsp lime juice

Instructions:

Mix ingredients together and rub onto scalp

Leave for 30 minutes

Rinse hair thoroughly

Style as usual

5. For Lightening Your Hair

Ingredients:

1 large mug hot water

2 teabags of chamomile tea

Instructions:

Steep teabags into hot water for 2 hours

Pour the tea onto clean towel blotted hair and leave
