Happy Umurerwa was only 12 years old when she started modelling and revealed her potential to became a model superstar. In 2010, the now 26-year-old moved to Canada from Rwanda, where she was discovered and signed to major modelling agency Ford models. But far from turning her back on her African roots, she also signed with Fusion in Cape Town.

Known for her versatility, Happy has walked in major runway shows alongside the likes of Alek Wek and Yasmin Warsame and starred in the pages of fashion magazines – Marie Claire included. She featured in our March 2015 issue as a face to watch, modelling a multi-toned tartan tracksuit jacket and sleek bowl haircut.
