The Cannes Film Festival is undoubtedly the world’s biggest and most prestigious of its kind. The celebs arrive in droves to take in some arty flicks, enjoy the sun and walk the red carpet in their finery. This year the famous guests wore some very inspiring beauty looks. Here are some of our favourites – you might want to take some notes!
Lily Rose Depp
Lily was channeling her inner Grecian goddess with her fair hair in soft curls, dark, defined eyes and a nude lip. Her cosmetics paired well with her tanned skin, gold accessories and long, white dress and was the perfect ensemble for the European summer.
This model and actress changed it up for each red carpet appearance, but her blunt fringe was the look that had everyone talking. This just goes to show what framing your face with well-cut bangs can do for you overall look. We are feeling seriously inspired!
Model-of-the-moment Bella also sported a variety of looks throughout her time at Cannes but our favourite was her ponytail and red-lip-cat-eye combo. The winged liner really accentuated her eyes and her slicked-back hair made sure her face was the focal point.
Ray of sunshine Jourdan was positively glowing at this year’s festival. Her hair in soft waves, with nude lips, shimmery gold eyeshadow and dewy skin meant that she looked absolutely radiant and transported us to the southern hemisphere, dreaming of summer.
This young actress has a flawless complexion and doesn’t need much make-up because of her natural, youthful glow. Her best red carpet beauty moment was definitely the blue winged eyeliner, which is super trendy and something that we are going to be trying immediately.
You see? Goth and glamour can totally go hand-in-hand. Victoria’s Secret model Sara served us a wide variety of looks over the festival, but her dark hair and dark lip combo was definitely a stand-out. Sultry definitely suits her.
This model is definitely having a moment. Winnie‘s make-up might have been on the subtle side, but her cropped hair is a throwback to the popular 90s pixie cut that we didn’t know we needed (but are really loving). Long hair is overrated anyway.
Probably the most unexpected beauty choice made by any of the celebs over the course of the festival was the pink wig donned by acting veteran Salma. The hair colour was well matched with her outfit and definitely turned heads– we give it two thumbs up.
