Bonang Matheba is serious about changing the world through supporting education for South African girls. The TV personality won the first 5 For Changemaker Award last weekend for her activism at a black tie gala emceed by Maps Maponyane.

According to W24, the award was ‘in recognition of her work as the founder of the Bonang Matheba Bursary Fund and for using her platform to advance social justice issues in South Africa and around the world.’

Bonang has big plans for this bursary fund going forward. She aims to send 300 girls to university in the next three years:

The celebrity also shared that, in 2019, ten more South African girls will get the opportunity to go to university. She posted about the Bonang Matheba Bursary Fund Programme and her passion for educating the African girl child:
