Meghan Markle and Prince Harry attended a special charity performance of Hamilton yesterday (which is rumoured to be her favourite musical FYI), and the duchess wore her most daring dress yet.
I say ‘daring’ because it technically broke the royal fashion etiquette rules – which, to be fair, are a little strict. Meghan chose a black tuxedo minidress by Canadian label Judith & Charles.
As you may have guessed, the reason it’s a bold move for the duchess is due to its length. You’ll have noticed that Kate Middleton always wears knee-length, midi or maxi dresses, and that’s because the Queen prefers it. She is apparently not a fan of dresses that are above the knee.
Nonetheless, we think it’s the perfect date-night outfit; it’s smart, and she accessorised it very nicely with some suede pumps.
It’s about time those fashion rules were broken a little…
