Solange Knowles married video producer Alan Ferguson in a gorgeous white wedding in New Orleans this weekend.
The celebrations kicked off on Friday with a screening of Mahogany, the 1975 Diana Ross film the couple watched on their first date (sweet!). The ceremony took place on Sunday at the Marigny Opera House and the bride and groom rode matching vintage bicycles to the venue. And the wedding outfits? Solange started proceedings in a Stephane Rolland pantsuit and cape – so sensible and chic! – before changing into a white gown and cape, designed by Humberto Leon for Kenzo, for the ceremony.
Photographer Rog Walker snapped the wedding photos, including a portrait of the coule and two breathtakingly beautiful all-female family portraits, apparently inspired by the work of Italian artist Vanessa Beecroft.
According to Vogue.com, the wedding featured performances by musicians Kelela, Questlove and Kindness.
There was also this dance-off between Solange and her 10-year-old son, Julez to ‘No-Flex Zone’ and what looks like a third outfit on Solange:
