The 71st annual British Academy Film Awards took place last night. Celebrities took to the red carpet in all black in support of the #timesup movement. Here are our top eight looks from the award ceremony’s red carpet:
1. Angelina Jolie
In first place is the gorgeous Angelina Jolie. The actress looked stunning in a custom, black Ralph and Russo gown.
2. Lupita Nyong’o
The Black Panther star wore a picture-perfect Elie Saab creation.
3. Jennifer Lawrence
Ms Lawrence opted for a classic cut and frame from Dior.
4. Naomi Harris
Talk about unpredictable. The English actress was dressed by Zuhair Murad in a sheer, detailed long top paired with trousers.
5. Gugu Mbatha-Raw
Gugu was spotted in vintage Cardinali.
6. Salma Hayek
Salma wore Gucci, of course. The actress brought fierceness to the red carpet in a beautifully detailed gown.
7. Leticia Wright
She also opted for Gucci, wearing an elegant belted dress.
Prince William and Kate Middleton attended the awards ceremony, adding a little surprise to the event. The Duchess of Cambridge is not allowed to partake in political movements so instead of wearing black, she chose an olive-green gown by Jenny Packham.
