We have reached the end of Milan Fashion Week, and we’ve tracked all the best AW18 looks, as they hit the runways. From Fendi to Alberta Ferretti, here’s what the Italian houses are delivering to us right now.
Fendi’s collection was a dedication to the chic and accomplished woman, and a combination of polished daytime glamour and perfect tailoring. Strong, square shoulders gave us the perfect silhouette to look out for. Inspiring work from Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Fendi, and we want to see more.
The Moschino collection looked, strangely, like a Jackie Kennedy/Smurf fusion. Pop and kitschy aliens invaded the show. Basically, Jeremy Scott brought us the runway from another planet and we’re kind of obsessed with it.
3. Max Mara
Finally the boundaries between workwear and out-of-the-office have become blurred. This collection is made for women to feel strong and remind them of the power that they hold. The minimal-yet-bold cuts takes us back to the true design aesthetic of the brand, but this time with hints of leather and dark hues.
4. Alberta Ferretti
Alberta Ferretti, known for her romantic take on fashion, decided to bring the eighties back. The runway displayed a range of luxurious and glamourous pieces with subtle hints of romance.
This presentation showed us flames, and was definitely one to include. The show was an ode to women ”who know that today nothing is acquired through birth, but rather earned through what they achieve’. Donnatella is paying homage to the everyday, hard-working women who is stylish yet feisty. The models were drenched in gold accessories, the Versace way of course, featuring logo T-shirts and boxy frames that were accompanied by cinch-in waists.
