For this coming Vintage Monday, retro cool store, Old Street is giving away a R200 voucher to one lucky Marie Claire reader.

We asked them a couple of questions:

1. Why do you love vintage/ second-hand/ retro and a bit more about the shop itself?

Clothes are not made with the same love and care as it used to be. Everything seems to be disposable – fast fashion! We would like people to fall in love with clothes again and give them amazing and affordable treasures. We will also be introducing our very own vintage-inspired clothing line soon.

2. Price range at your shop?

Our prices range from R60 to R120 for blazers and jackets, R50 for jumpers, R60 to R90 for blouses and dresses.

3. Which items must people come for? The clothes, shoes, accessories?

We’re known for the retro tees we make ourselves and of course clothing that has quite a bit of attitude. We love bold prints, colour, shoulder pad action and ’80s glam. We’re even serving up some fabulous leather bags and the occasional Dr Martens and some designer shoes.

4. Where is your shop located and when is it open?

Rondebosch – opposite the Red Cross hospital, next to 7-Eleven – 75 Klipfontein Road.

We are open Mon to Fri 10am to 6pm. One Saturday per month for the super sale – 9am to 2pm

All you have to do to enter is to send us a pic of yourself clad in vintage, either to:
