Thuso Mbedu attended the 46th International Emmy awards and donned a bespoke Kentse Masilo gown. Thuso was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress for her role as Winnie Mandela on the TV series Is’thunzi. This is the second year, in a row, that Thuso has been nominated as best actress for the same show. She was the only African nominee at this years Emmy’s.
Kentse Masilo also represented the continent in the form of her bespoke design. The Project Runway SA winner created a metallic, slim-fitting, fringed gown with a plunging neckline. The floor-length design completed with long sleeves suited Thuso’s frame perfectly.
Thuso did not walk away with an Emmy, but we are sure it’s going to be third time lucky!
