June is Youth Month, and it’s 41 years since the Soweto Uprising. Marie Claire searched for 20 women under the age of 30 to find out what it means to be a young woman in South Africa today. We asked: How does your age and gender affect your experience as a paramedic, or a creative, or in a big, male-dominated company? What is it like to be a young policewoman, or a traditional healer, or an activist? What does Youth Day mean for you, four decades years later?
