For any established or aspiring entertainer out there, there’s a new award up for grabs. Introducing the DStv Mzanzi Viewers’ Choice Awards. Over one-million viewers voted for their faves, and the awards ceremony took place this weekend. And for those of you who missed it, trust us when we say, it was fabulous. The event was star-studded as local stars graced the red carpet at the Sandton International Convention Centre.

The beautiful Bonang Matheba hosted the event and, as always, she looked like a dream. She had several stunning looks throughout the evening, but we were totally in love with this red creation:

Thembisa Mdoda looked absolutely stunning in a bold print dress. She scooped up two awards at the ceremony, one for Favourite TV Presenter, as well as Ultimate Viewers’ Choice.

Musician Sjava bagged the Rising Star award. With his latest track Impilo dropping just a few days ago, we could think of no-one more deserving of this award.

For his track Charlotte, Prince Kaybee walked away with the Song of the Year award. He looked dapper as usual, clad in red:

Over one-million votes were cast by viewers across South Africa, with 50 nominees in all of the categories. The country has spoken and the results are in:
