Mandela Day is around the corner, and we’re excited for the next part of the Naked Issue Campaign taking place tonight in Melrose, Johannesburg. We’ll be celebrating the stars of our beautiful Naked Issue, which we created in partnership with Arthur Kaplan. The full collection of nude portraits will be exhibited, and we’ll be auctioning off some incredible Arthur Kaplan jewellery to raise money for Marie Claire’s chosen charity, The Women’s Shelter Movement.
We can’t wait to sip on some bubbles, courtesy of JC Le Roux, and celebrate the conversation that the Naked Issue has started with our favourite celebrities. Among the guests will be Naked models Moonchild Sanelly (who will be giving a special performance), designer Lukhanyo Mdingi, femme artist Lady Skollie, actress Nicole Fortuin, swimwear designer Omuhle Gela and model Rosette Ncwana. After their fearless appearance in their nude portraits, these familiar faces will all be gracing us with their presence, sipping champagne and looking glamorous as we raise money for charity as part of Mandela Month.
We are particularly excited for a special performance by Moonchild Sanelly!
For our readers who can’t join us: keep an eye on our instagram stories – we’ll make sure to keep you in the loop, and join the campaign by SMSing to donate or donating Snapscan over here -> http://www.marieclaire.co.za/the-naked-issue
