We’re going to see a lot more of Tumi Morake now that she has her own TV show. Her new talk show #WTFTumi starts tonight and will invite celebrities and other movers and shakers from different industries, like music, film and sport and politics. Although she’ll be discussing hot topics from South Africa with her guests, you can expect a lot of laughs as the A-listers take part in impromptu games and interact with social media. Every episode will be rounded off by a performance from a music or comedic act. After doing an incredible job hosting the 23rd South African Music Awards earlier this year, we can’t wait to see what Tumi gets up to on her show.
According to BuzzSouthAfrica, Tumi is excited to get started on this new project. “The show is raw and unapologetic,” she commented, “especially because it’s a late night slot, I can afford to be naughty because the kids have already gone off to bed.” #WTFTumi will premier on SABC 3 on 5 July.

In an industry still dominated by men, Tumi stands out among her comedic peers. Her comedic style is candid, and she throws herself wholeheartedly into every scene, every skit and every performance. Starting her career more than 10 years ago in small clubs, she has grown to be one of South Africa’s most well known people in the entertainment industry. #WTFTumi will be on SABC 3 at 21h30 every Wednesday and Thursday, and this talk show will be the perfect distraction for when the week starts feeling a little too long!
