CAPRICORN (Dec 22 – Jan 20)

Why do good things sometimes seem to happen to bad people? And why do bad things seem to happen to good people? Could it be that people are generally a little too hasty to decide whether they themselves or, indeed, other people, are good or bad? In 2015, your journey of personal evolution involves overcoming a set of old, tired ideas about what constitutes ‘unacceptable’. You may need to re-evaluate your own story and even your view of history. I’m not suggesting that you need to spend the whole of 2015 floating around like the fairy of forgiveness, sprinkling the stardust of revisionism everywhere you go. But you may need to look at where, in your life, you’ve drawn those lines. Where have you said, ‘Past this point I will not go’ or, ‘Back to there I will never return?’ The great cosmic invitation to you this year is to take a step into the relatively unknown lands of ‘perhaps’ and ‘maybe’. Such expeditions may well take you out of your comfort zone. But only such inner exploratory journeys can take you to territory where the winds of change can fill the sail of your heart, enabling you to rise to a spectacular height from which you see situations and people a little differently – and opportunity very differently indeed. As you let go of the sandbags of opinion, preconception, fixed belief and unshakeable certainty, a balloon of hope will lift you to the giddy heights of amazing inspiration. AQUARIUS (Jan 21 – Feb 19)

Every car has a handbrake. You use it if you want to make sure the car stands still once you’ve turned off the engine. In many older cars, it’s possible to drive with the handbrake on. It may or may not trigger an electronic warning beep but if you determinedly keep going, you can still cover some distance. Isn’t there a sense in which the journey of your life lately, has been reminiscent of the progress made when you drive with that brake on? You have been doing surprisingly well but you can do so much better if you overcome an obstacle that you really don’t have to contend with. In 2015, you find out what’s been holding you back – and why. You also discover that, fortunately, any damage that’s been done is easily fixed. It turns out that now you can move at a speed that is much more satisfying. You just may have to be careful, because where once you had to put a lot of energy into making things happen, you now need hardly expend anywhere near so much effort. This year we finally move away from the ongoing series of sharp alignments between Pluto and Uranus and into a cosmic climate more conducive to the kind of success and progress you deserve. Enter 2015 with the expectation that things are going to be easier and you will find that at every level, and in pretty much every way, they are. PISCES (Feb 20 – Mar 20)

Self-help books sometimes suggest that all we have to do is ‘reach for our inner-strength’ and we will naturally evolve into higher beings. But occasionally it seems we have to struggle for a long time to overcome bad habits. In 2015, you begin to recognise that you have been doing things that you don’t really want to be doing. Of course, if you are in a situation and you don’t fully understand how you got into it, it can be difficult to get yourself out of it. It’s also tricky if you think you have an accurate insight, only to discover you’ve been swallowing an explanation made up of half-truths. This year’s events bring deep insights into the people around you, enabling you to see why conflicts have arisen, why relationships have become stressful or how wounds can be healed. How do you get out of a situation that you wish you weren’t in? You have to try to find a neutral standpoint. What confuses us most of the time is what we think we know. When we think we know something, we don’t recognise what we don’t know, and consequently we are not open to the answers we ought to be listening to. Life will somehow make it easier for you to be less sure of yourself this year. That, in turn, will mean you are in a far better position to become much more sure of yourself in the long-term. ARIES (Mar 21 – Apr 20)

In 2015, you will see light at the end of a tunnel that you have grown tired of peering into only to see the same old disappointing darkness. Or at least, that’s what you will see if you look. If you are so fed up of looking and seeing nothing that you can’t even bear to look again, you’ll miss the beckoning beacon of hope. It may also be that, before you can look properly for this, you have to put down some of the distractions you have created to ease the pain of lack of progress. Have you really made so many commitments that you’re no longer free to move on? Perhaps you feel you can say, ‘But I’m happy where I’ve ended up.’ Perhaps you are – but isn’t there something in the back of your mind niggling at you, asking, ‘Didn’t you once want something else?’ What might awaken your passion and set your heart on fire? What possibility would make you feel so fulfilled that you could shake off a lot of past negativity and rediscover long-lost hope? If such a thing is possible this year, don’t you owe it to yourself to explore that? This year you can start a journey that will eventually lead to the fulfilment of a lifelong aspiration. Whatever dramas you find yourself going through, those soap operas are irrelevant. They all only point to a series of key decisions that are due to bring forth much needed, most wondrous magic. TAURUS (Apr 21 – May 21)

As waves of chance and change roll into our lives, we become like surfers. Sometimes we coast to success. Sometimes, we lose our balance – and our pride goes with this. Unexpected upsets make us doubt our own ability to recover. Of late, you’ve experienced too many uncertainties. You’re hardly sure, any more, if you truly deserve a happy life. While it is healthy to be humble it is silly to be self-deprecating. Somehow, in some areas of life, you have slipped into psychological quicksand. Now comes your chance to emerge from the mudflats of martyrdom and return to the firmer ground of faith in yourself. An incredible power has put you here on planet Earth. There has never been anyone exactly like you and there never will be again. Your experiences, insights and contributions have value. On top of all your other exceptional characteristics, you have a hidden ability: the power to heal. You can instinctively see what people need and help them find a way to supply it for themselves. You can be a force for good; a person who touches people’s lives, sometimes in subtle ways but always with a significant effect. You’ve come across this before in yourself. Every time you allow it to surface, you get closer to the fulfilment of your deepest, dearest dreams. This is the year your heart revels in the fulfilment that comes from knowing that you are doing what you were put here to do. For more, visit or call MTN 083 900 8536 or Vodacom 079 008 4034.

GEMINI (May 22 – Jun 22)

Soon after we pass the first quarter of 2015, Mars begins a sojourn in your sign, just as Saturn (in your opposite sign) reaches the point in its orbit nearest to Earth. Here comes a chance to look again at something that once left you feeling disillusioned. If the cosmos could somehow sit you down, speak to you reasonably and point out a potentially problematic prejudice, it would. But it may be that the only way to draw your attention to this is to bring forth events that produce a powerful reaction. If you want to make the most of this year’s opportunities, try to see it this way. It isn’t that the firmament is forcing you to go wandering endlessly back down the roads you swore you’d never return to. It is just that you may briefly need to revisit tricky territory so you can collect something you left behind. Things are definitely different now. You have built your life on a much more solid platform. But there are still some cracks in the foundations. It is time to recognise the progress you have made, to celebrate success and to be less resentful about experiences that you are inclined to dismiss as having been a waste of time. You have made fewer mistakes than you imagine. You have more to be proud of than you know. In 2015, you will be uplifted and protected by a cosmos that wants you head in the best possible direction. CANCER (Jun 23 – Jul 23)

In 2015, the ongoing cosmic climate will help you feel less like somebody who is in need of protection and more like someone who is capable of giving it. You’ll identify a way to create a great wall of defence around a situation where someone you care about very deeply is exposed. You’ll begin to demonstrate to the world what a powerful person you really are, yet you won’t do this by hiding your sensitivity. You’ll proudly wear your heart on your sleeve. You’ll effectively say, ‘I don’t care how upset I get from time to time or even how raw I may feel. I know that one thing is right and one thing is wrong and I know that my duty is to uphold this crucial distinction.’ You’ll be fighting for justice, championing a great cause, making waves, making a difference. Although there will be many of the usual exchanges and intrigues that cause you to feel as if your life is unfolding like a daytime soap opera, there will be moments of prime-time drama too, where you get to shine and excel yourself. Your qualities of leadership will come to the fore. Others will see that they are safe to trust your judgment and will naturally relate to you as an individual with authority. You may not want to change the whole world this year but you are certainly determined to change a key aspect of your own life. And you are going to succeed. LEO (Jul 24 – Aug 23)

Your usual Leonine swagger and self-esteem has been intermittent of late. The feeling that you can do no wrong has been replaced by this nagging doubt: ‘What have I done wrong now?’ It is as if each time you begin to walk tall, you slip on a discarded banana skin, trip up and lose your dignity. Fears and concerns are not, in themselves, bad things. None of us want to make mistakes through being overly sure of ourselves. Yet sometimes it is a mistake not to be sure. When we allow ourselves to be too conscious of an inadequacy, we can start to spiral into a state of self-denigration. But in 2015, simply by giving yourself permission to feel more sure of who you are and where you are going, you’ll turn into some kind of a magician. Not an illusionist who practices sleight of hand but the kind of shamanistic practitioner who exists in the back of every imagination and has the power to produce deep, lasting inner transformation. Prepare to unleash your inner Gandalf and express your natural Dumbledore. Some challenges will take a while to rise to. Some projects will fail before they start to succeed. This won’t be the easiest year you have ever known. But it is going to be a stunning, even spectacular, year – in so far as every time it looks as though life is taking you towards the brink of disaster, it actually leads to the edge of victory. VIRGO (Aug 24 – Sep 23)

Some days, we wake up and it is as much as we can do to drag ourselves through the day. Yet there are other days, when, from the moment we open our eyes, we feel as if we are doing what we do best. As with days, so with years. And so with this year, for you. You have come into this world with a gift for recognising what is needed and seeing how to supply it. You were also born with an ability to see what is not needed. As you express your discrimination more fully this year, some people may find your critical faculties confronting. Nonetheless, you are going to be playing a vitally important role in the realm of quality control. But to be a true force for change, you can’t just slap a giant brush into a tin of conveniently coloured paint. Reaching for fundamental transformation involves questioning convention, channelling imagination, unleashing ingenuity and fostering invention. It turns out that you are the perfect person to encourage the emergence of such qualities. Even if you initially meet some resistance, your role as a catalyst will turn out to be persuasive and decisive. The people who are closest to you may notice it most but in the wider world too, you will be cutting a swathe. The signature experience of 2015 will be the sense of delight that comes from knowing that you are going to be on top of whatever is trying to get on top of you. LIBRA (Sep 24 – Oct 23)

Do you remember the old comedy duet ‘There’s a Hole in My Bucket’? No matter what the singers do to overcome the problems with the bucket, it eventually becomes obvious that what’s needed is water. The water can only be carried in the bucket but there’s a hole in the bucket! In 2015, the pressing question is: how much longer is it going to take to fix that bucket? This could be one of the few years where most of the buckets don’t have holes in them or if they do, they are easily fixed. Wouldn’t it be nice if the heavens were to present you with some comfort, ease, reassurance and grace? Might something vaguely resembling good fortune be about to enter your life and then stick around? It might be. It really might be. I wouldn’t be mentioning any of this if it weren’t a strong possibility! Your outlook is all about getting something ready upon which a further construction can later be achieved. If that sounds a little dull, fear not. There is nothing wrong with hard work and effort, as long as you are comfortable that it is leading you to somewhere worth going. And where you’re going this year is somewhere well worth heading. There have been numerous occasions lately where you have begun to doubt it but what looks set to unfold next is so hopeful, it may restore your lost faith in humanity and even in yourself. SCORPIO (Oct 24 – Nov 22)

If your life is a soap opera, where is the script conference team? Who gets to decide which character will divorce, or fall in love, or run out of money, or get into trouble? Editors and producers make heartless choices sometimes. They are influenced by everything from the budget to the ratings, the popularity of the cast and the availability of the actors. But in 2015, if such a conference is taking place at some subtle etheric cosmic level, you will find you are in the director’s seat. You are in a wonderful position to get yourself a storyline that is not just enjoyable and rewarding but which allows you to shine, to be the star that you are, to do what you are good at and spend less time doing what you hate having to do. In 2015, you can go beyond your own stereotype. On the stage of your life, you play a compelling, heroic part and do things that surprise you and others, not just because they are different but because they are successful. This is the year in which you get to be a voice of sanity in a world of chaos. You will keep coming into situations where your contribution is crucial and the wisdom you share is worth hearing. You will become a source of reassurance and
a force of great kindness. You’ll remember 2015 as a year in which a mess got cleared up and a new, much more inspiring, way forward was finally found. For more, visit or call MTN 083 900 8536 or Vodacom 079 008 4034.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov 23 – Dec 21)

Have you ever noticed how life seems to be full of things that have to happen before other things can happen? You can’t eat your supper until you cook it. You can’t wake up in the morning until you’ve gone to sleep the night before. You can’t expect to have any money in your wallet unless you’ve gone to work. Compromises and sacrifices are required of us all. We have to get used to them as philosophically as we can. Life for you, of late, has been one long series of things you hope have led to good results. But have all of those investments been as profitable as you would have liked? In 2015, things work out much better in many respects than you dared expect. But you shouldn’t expect all your fulfilled wishes to come tumbling into place one by one at the behest of a generous genie. The process is likely to be a little slower than that. But then sometimes, it isn’t until we have suffered that we understand the true benefit of a relatively easy existence. It may not be until the end of 2015 that you begin to see how, even in the area where you have had to put up with the most discomfort, there has been a positive point and a purpose after all. Even so, this year will go down in your personal history as the year in which your efforts pay off and your sacrifices bring real rewards. For more, visit or call MTN 083 900 8536 or Vodacom 079 008 4034.
