It’s still all about Cannes…

Tilda Swinton stuns in Haider Ackermann

So Ms Tilda, always the creative dresser, showed up at last night’s premiere of the much-anticipated Jim Jarmusch’s film Only Lovers Left Alive. For me she looked stunning in a sequined gold trousers-and-shirt set, complemented by her famous up-do and red lips. What do you think of this unusual look?

Leo frolics with a multitude of models

What a cliché? Leonardo DiCaprio is definitely establishing himself as a genuine Hollywood playboy as he was spotted this past weekend on a boat surrounded by lots of girls in skimpy bikinis. Apparently he has been throwing loud parties for the duration of the Cannes Film Festival, inviting mainly models. What is your opinion of this 38-year-old bachelor: does he still have it? See some of the paparazzi pics here.

The Cinema Against AIDS Gala fashion show

amfAR is probably one of the fashion highlights of the Cannes calendar, and this year it proved to be more glam than ever. In its 20th year, the benefit was curated by the mighty magazine ed Carine Roitfeld, who entitled the show ‘The Ultimate Gold Collection’. Models such as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Karlie Kloss, Joan Smalls, Karolina Kurkova and Alessandra Ambrosio walked the runway, and Carine’s daughter, Julia, also attended (and took to the runway) Instagramming her excitement before the show started above.

Derek Blasberg Instagrammed the above image saying:A very fashionable family moment: Carine Roitfeld heckling her daughter@juliarestoin on the runway at the amFAR gala in Cannes last night.’

Students create plus-size dress form

So, two apparel design students from Cornell University wanted to create a plus-size clothing line, yet found it very difficult to find a dress form that was accurate enough for full-figured women. After analysing thousands of 3-D body scans the students and their professor used a single scan to create a US size 24, plus-size mannequin that can now be reproduced. How exciting! Here’s hoping we’ll see more fashion collections for plus-size women.

Rihanna and Amanda Bynes’s Twitter war

The two celebs have got into a bit of a row, as recently arrested Bynes tweeted some horrible things to Rihanna, such as ‘Chris Brown beat you because you’re not pretty enough’ and ‘No one wants to be your lover so you call everyone and their mother.’ Sho. The fight then continues as per the below:

Seriously, girls? How childish…
