We’re a day away from the royal wedding, yet speculation over who will dress Meghan Markle, what her make-up will be like and, most importantly, who is on the guest list continues. This is what we know so far.

First things first. We know that one of the most important guests at any wedding – the father of the bride – will unfortunately no longer be attending due to emergency heart surgery. A statement from Meghan Markle was released by the Kensington Palace Twitter account yesterday, breaking the news that Thomas Markle’s health is a priority right now.

Speculation about Meghan’s mom Doria Raglan walking her down the aisle has since gained traction after this announcement. Doria will indeed be at the ceremony on Saturday 19 May. Royal contributor Omid Scobie told Good Morning America earlier this week that ‘Doria will be meeting Harry and Meghan’s nearest and dearest while she’s here, including close friend Jessica Mulroney, who arrived on Monday.’

If you were wondering whether Miss Markle’s siblings will be attending, the answer is no. The former Suits star has two older half-siblings, Samantha, 53, and Thomas Jr, 51, who were both reportedly not invited. Samantha told British talk show Loose Women this week that ‘None of the family have received invites. Doria’s family was also excluded. Although we don’t understand, we can only wish them well. I’m not taking that personally nor am I holding that against her.’

That being said, here are some of the high-profile guests we can expect to see at the royal nuptials this weekend (according to Harper’s Bazaar):

Priyanka Chopra

British style maven Victoria ‘Posh’ Beckham and her football star hubby, David, have confirmed that they had received an invite to the most anticipated wedding of the year. We certainly can’t wait to see what this power couple will show up wearing on Saturday.

Mel B

Another Spice Girl. Perhaps this will be the start of the Spice Girls reunion tour we deserve. Melanie confirmed on The Real that she will be attending.

Elton John

He’s a friend of the royal family, who rewrote and performed ‘Candle in the Wind’ as a moving tribute to the late Princess of Wales, Diana. Sir Elton John is evidently dedicated to any major life events of this family, as he even cancelled two concerts over the wedding weekend due to ‘scheduling conflicts’.

Serena Williams

The record-breaking sportswoman of the year and Meghan Markle have been good friends since 2010, and often speak positively of each other to the press. Serena has not publicly confirmed her attendance yet, considering the fact that the wedding falls on the weekend directly adjacent to the French Open.

The Suits Cast

The show may have lost Rachel Zane, but it looks like they still have a friend in Meghan Markle. A Kensington insider confirmed to HELLO! magazine that ‘The cast has been contacted in regards to invites from Kensington Palace,’ meaning we can look forward to seeing our other Suits favourite, Abigail Spencer, wearing something fierce on Saturday.

Do you know who else will be there? Marie Claire South Africa. Stayed tuned into our Instagram account @marieclairesa on Saturday 19 May for live clips from the wedding.
