DAy 2 of SA Fashion Week in Johannesburg hosted at the Crowne Plaza in Rosebank, took place last night. From the Sunglass Hut New Talent winner, to Clive Rundle’s beautiful collection and the ever inspiring street style, we leave you with our top five moments of the night.
1. The Sunglass Hut New Talent Winner: WITH
This new label presents a balanced design aesthetic between maximalism and minimalism. We couldn’t get enough of the colour pallet of soft hues and pastel pinks and the lesson in unique layering. Not only did we love the clothing but we also enjoyed the original choice of electo-goth music; ‘Trust’ by a band called Shoom was the opening song.
2. Fashion Makes A Statement
The student protests even made it onto the runway. #Feesmustfall made an appearance during SIES! Isabelle’s runway finale, and the message was scribbled across the shirts of some people attending the shows.
3. Clive By Clive Rundle
Metallic fringing, velvet and interesting cuts and shapes made an appearance in Clive Rundle’s collection last night. We couldn’t keep our eyes off the strong structures.
4. The Sunglass Hut Press Room
The MC team enjoyed the night in the Sunglass Hut Press Room with snacks, a photo booth and great company.
The cocktail tent was crammed with everyone trying to get their hands on a bespoke drink. On the menu: Vanilla Cruz, Caipiroska and Cosmopolitans.
